The Next Generation Project Management Community of Practice (Sunshine Coast) came together this week for another inspiring breakfast event at the University of the Sunshine Coast Innovation Centre — Beyond the Project: Sharing Men’s Journeys to Support the Next Generation.

Hosted in celebration of International Men’s Day, the event brought together professionals from across the infrastructure and construction sectors to share stories of leadership, growth, and support.

Keynote speakers Adrian McCallum (Head of Engineering, UniSC), Sam Parker (Founder & CEO, Grab Life by the Balls), and Lachlan Braunlein (Senior Design Project Manager, CV Infrastructure Services) led powerful discussions on mateship, teamwork, and the importance of connection — both in life and in the workplace.

4020 Consult’s Joel and Paulina were proud to attend and represent our team, with Joel even taking on the role of “Meet & Greet Man” at the check-in desk to welcome attendees.

The morning was a reminder of how valuable community and authenticity are in our industry — whether it’s supporting colleagues through challenges, encouraging the next generation, or simply creating space for honest conversation.

A big thank you to the event organisers, speakers, and sponsors for continuing to build such a strong and supportive professional community on the Sunshine Coast.
