4020 Consult has always been proud of our roots in Redcliffe, in the heart of the City of Moreton. This region has always punched above its weight, and right now it’s stepping into an entirely new era of tourism, lifestyle, and economic opportunity.

Two game-changing Comiskey Group projects are already on the horizon: the $250 million expansion at Sandstone Point and the $180 million luxury hotel and dining precinct at North Lakes. Both will bring world-class hospitality, retail, and event spaces just as our city gears up to welcome the world for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games

Sandstone Point’s Bold $250 Million Vision

Already home to one of Queensland’s most popular hotels and holiday resorts, Sandstone Point is about to undergo a $250 million expansion that could redefine tourism in the region.

  • Moreton’s first 5-star greenfield hotel: 202 luxury rooms across two striking buildings with sweeping views of Pumicestone Passage.

  • Resort-style amenities: infinity and adults-only pools, wellness centre, premium dining.

  • Retail & entertainment hub: new restaurants, bowling, a Tourism Information Centre, upgraded concert facilities, extra parking and a new bus terminal.

The project is expected to:

  • Support nearly 1,000 jobs

  • Draw 117,000+ extra visitors annually

  • Inject an estimated $143.3 million in visitor spending every year into the local economy.

In line with Queensland’s Destination 2045 plan, the development answers South East Queensland’s critical accommodation shortage, with only 46,000 hotel rooms currently available across the region.

North Lakes’ $180 Million ‘Mini-James Street’

North Lakes is set to welcome a landmark $180 million luxury hotel, dining and retail precinct that’s been described as a “mini-James Street,” after Brisbane’s award-winning Calile Hotel precinct.

  • 130-room, 5-star resort featuring a luxury lagoon-style pool.

  • High-end restaurants, boutique retail, green spaces and a signature Comiskey Group hospitality venue with event spaces for up to 800 guests.

  • Expected to deliver a $538 million economic boost and support 880+ jobs during construction and the first five years of operation.

City of Moreton Mayor Peter Flannery said the development will help transform the city into an events and tourism powerhouse ahead of 2032: “Comiskey Group’s vision ticks every box – world-class design, quality dining, genuine community benefit and serious economic horsepower for our city.”

Moreton’s Next Chapter

With a combined $430 million investment, these projects show the Comiskey Group’s extraordinary commitment to shaping the future of our city and creating opportunities across construction, engineering, tourism, and beyond.

For locals and visitors alike, it’s proof that the City of Moreton is ready to shine on the national and global stage. And if the rumours of a much larger billion-dollar development north of Caboolture are anything to go by, these projects may be just the beginning of an even bigger story yet to be told.
